This is my second experiment using an old photo of mine. I got an opportunity to try out lots of joints. I look kind of uneven, and so I called in 'Hand Made'. I'm not the perfect shape for a classic doll, but who cares right?
I did edit out the nipples but it looked so strange! I also made the neck joint more pronounced but it threw out the composition.
Great stuff Vicky!
ReplyDeleteA neat trick to 'edit out' the nipples is to simply de-saturate them. The details will still be there, but will look a lot more synthetic.
I really like the edge work, where one part meets the another. You actually took the time to create the lips and appearance of one body part sliding beneath another.
I look forward to more!
Thanks, it means a lot coming from you. I am a great admirer of your work so far.
DeleteThe shadowing of the overlap is very nicely done. That and it's super nice to see a manip of a real person rather then a touched photo shoot.

With the foot photo, I mostly painted the lines on, but with a lot of this one, I took shadows from the picture and grafted them on, it makes it much more realistic.
DeleteIt would be really nice if I could make a doll out of somebody who wants to be a doll.
Again, great compliment coming from you of all people.
